The Gulf Coast of Texas is a unique place even though not very many are aware of this as they choose their summer vacation destinations, but the south of Texas has great holiday resorts.

It does not really matter your background, whether you have lived in the big cities or from the smaller villages, it is guaranteed that you will fall in love with the beaches of south Texas.

The things which you are likely to find in Texas are the large pastures that are just unique to this place, the wide belts with big buckles of cowboy style and the Texan hats. You would be fooled to think that these are the only huge things that go to make Texas famous but look at the perfect beaches and you will be wowed.

The coastal beaches are always packed with people surfing and of course what some mistake as beach bums. It is because the “beach bums" are really the retired citizens who flock to these beaches for their morning walks and mainly to take in the great tropical weather that is always part of Texas attraction.

Heading to the beaches would be trucks and cars that carry surfboards sticking out of their windows and on top of the vehicles. On reaching the waterside, you will find people of all races and genders and ages just out enjoying the waves.

If you thought California was the biggest surfing place, costing a lot higher you may say, wait until you get to the Texan beaches. There you would afford to reserve the hotel room and have something left to enjoy good meals in great hotels and the breathtaking tropical beauty.

Weather is always superb at the Gulf Coast particularly the cities of South Padre, Galveston, and Corpus Christi where people go to enjoy the tropical weather that prevails there most of the year even if occasionally some areas would have weather of around 40's. It is generally as hot as 60 to 80'.

Come to think of it, in the far north people mostly wear coats with heater on but the coastal towns have people wearing shorts and keeping the windows wide open to allow in some breeze. If the temperatures are warm, the people are even warmer and very welcoming. These beaches run for hundreds of miles.
